CMN Raffle Scam

The Austin Chapter of Credit Unions has notified Austin Telco of a scam involving the Children’s Miracle Network Raffle. Several members of Austin area credit unions who participated in the CMN Raffle were notified by a company called Prize Center stating they had won prizes from the raffle. The Prize Center left a return number and stated they had won prizes that were not even a part of the raffle. The company also asked members to provide personal information.

Please be aware that all winners of the CMN Raffle were notified on June 3, 2009 by the Austin Chapter of Credit Unions and have made arrangements to pick up their prizes. The Austin Chapter of Credit Unions would not ask for personal information to redeem prizes.

This scam has been reported to the Consumer Protection Agency of the Office of the Attorney General.
