Secondary Passwords
The secondary password is part of the Multi-Factor Authentication program which recognizes computers that you have previously used. You will only need your secondary password to access your account when you attempt to login from a different computer or if the cookies have been deleted off your computer.
Being prompted for the secondary password? Here's what to do.
- Using the on-screen virtual keyboard similar to the picture below, click on the characters that make up your secondary password. As you click, asterisks will appear in the empty boxes above the keyboard. The “Click to Reveal” link will replace the asterisks with the characters that you have clicked on. To help refresh your memory, the password reminder displays just above the virtual keyboard.

- If the password reminder does not jog your memory, you can use a temporary key to access your account. Request a temporary key by clicking on the link below the on-screen virtual keyboard. A temporary key will be sent to the e-mail address or cell phone number on file. The temporary key is only good for one hour.
- Once you have received the temporary key, please go back to our homepage and re-enter your account number. You will be asked for your access code and the temporary key we just sent to you. Once completed, you will have the opportunity to authenticate the computer you are currently using before being taken to your account.
- If using the on-screen virtual keyboard and requesting a temporary key has not helped you in your login, please e-mail us at techsupport@atfcu.org, or give us a call at 512.302.5555, ext. 7199.
